Delete your Gezin account & data

Gezin is a family-organizer app operated by Emre (trading as Gezin). This page explains how to delete your account and the data associated with it.

How to request deletion

In the app: open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. This deletes your account immediately.
By email: if you can’t use the app, email privacy@getgezin.com from the address on your account and we’ll delete it for you.

Your account and login (email address and user ID).
Your profile (member name and color).
Your Google Calendar connection — stored access is revoked and removed.
Any photos you uploaded to the AI assistant.
If you are the owner of a family: the entire family and all of its shared data (calendar events, tasks, recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists) are deleted for everyone in it.
If you are a member (not the owner): you are removed from the family and the family’s shared data remains for the other members.

No long-term database backups are retained, so your data is not preserved in backups after deletion.
Analytics identifiers (in PostHog) are deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
No payment or financial data is stored — Gezin is free.

In-app deletions complete immediately. Email requests are completed within 30 days of the request.
